This page is the short version. The full detail, including what we keep and for how long, is in section 10 of the Privacy Policy, which this page forms part of.
Delete your Vaarto account
Email the privacy address at the foot of this page, from the email address on the account, with the subject Delete my account.
Tell us the workspace name. If you want an export of your message history, say so in the same email and we will send it before anything is deleted.
We verify that the request came from someone entitled to make it, then delete:
- the workspace and every member of it;
- the WhatsApp numbers connected to it, and their configuration;
- the message log, including message content, recipient numbers and delivery status;
- the media stored against those messages;
- API keys, webhook endpoints and their secrets.
It takes up to 30 days. We confirm in writing when it is done. There is no charge.
Invoices and tax records are the one exception: Indian tax and company law requires us to keep them, so we do, for the period stated in the Privacy Policy and for nothing else.
Delete part of your data
You do not need to delete the whole account to get rid of message history. Message data is deleted automatically at the end of your plan’s retention period, and the media attached to it goes on the same schedule — see section 7 of the Privacy Policy.
To delete something specific sooner, ask at the same address.
This does not delete your WhatsApp Business Account
Your WhatsApp Business Account is yours and lives with Meta, not with us. Deleting your Vaarto account removes our access to it and everything we hold; it does not close the account, deregister your numbers, or remove anything Meta holds.
You can remove our access yourself at any time, without involving us: in business.facebook.com → Business settings → Requests / Partners, remove Vaarto. What Meta itself holds is covered by Meta’s own privacy policy and deleted through Meta.
If a business messaged you on WhatsApp using Vaarto
Then we are not the one to ask. That business decides what happens to your data and we act on its instruction — see section 1 of the Privacy Policy. Ask the business directly. If you cannot reach them, write to us at the address below and we will pass the request on.
